Day 02

Jaffa old city / Caesarea / Megiddo to the Sea of Galilee / Tiberias

This is our first touring day, after breakfast at hotel and check out; you will meet your C.T.O tour guide to accompany you on your journey. We will drive for a short visit to Jaffa (Joppa), walk at the picturesque alleys of the old, fortified town. We will pass by the house of Simon the Tanner and marvel at the views from the hill top. Our day will continue heading north; we drive along the coast to the archaeological ruins of Caesarea, built by Herod, a deep sea harbor as well as, storerooms, markets, wide roads, baths, temples in honor of Augustus Caesar. We continue for a visit to Megiddo, encompassing the ancient biblical mound of Megiddo, whose universal value has won it a place on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Megiddo was mentioned in the book of Revelation, for a great battle at the place called “Armageddon”. It is an ancient city inhabited continuously for more than five millennia (6000-500 B.C.). At the end of the day, we drive to the Sea of Galilee; arrive at Tiberias for check-in to your hotel.

Day 03

The Sea of Galilee / The Golan Heights

A great day is a head of us, we will start with sightseeing of the historical Tiberias, where it Is believed Jesus lived, sojourned, and preached on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. We drive for a visit to Capernaum, the center of Jesus ministry, known for where Jesus taught and healed a man possessed by an evil spirit. Continue to Tabgha, the site know for where the miracle happened by Jesus, feeding the 5,000 with only five loaves and two fishes. We drive to the Mount of Beatitudes overlooking the Sea, where Jesus preached the “Sermon on the Mount” and it is believed that this is where he picked his 12 apostles.
In the early afternoon, we ascend to the Golan Heights for a great panoramic view of the peaks of Mt. Hermon and the rugged plateau of the Golan Heights, and beneath it the green pastoral Hula valley.
At the end of our day, we will drive back to Tiberias

Day 04

Cana / Nazareth / Beit Shean to Jerusalem

After breakfast we will check out and load the bus in the direction of Jerusalem. We drive for a visit to Cana, the wedding church where Jesus performed his first miracle, turning water into wine. We proceed to Nazareth, known for where Jesus spent his childhood. We visit the Church of Annunciation, built on the site where archaeologists believe the Archangel Gabriel appeared to the Virgin Mary. We will stop for a short visit to Mary’s Well and Joseph’s Church. Continue to Beit Shean, where you find the excavated amphitheater and the beautiful preserved Roman City which was destroyed in an earthquake.
At the end of our day we will drive through the Jordan Valley to Jerusalem, on arrival we will drive for check-in at the hotel.

Day 05

Dead Sea / Masada

Early start for an extraordinary day, we drive through the remarkable scenery of the Dead Sea, nearly 1,300 feet below sea level, the lowest point on the earth’s surface. The first stop will be to Masada, situated right on an isolated cliff in the Judean Desert. The site has been declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001. We ascend by cable car to the fortress, which was the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their war against the Romans. Visit the excavations, King Herod’s palace, the synagogue, bathhouse and much more. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Roman camps and the Dead Sea. The next stop will be at the Qumran Caves site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. At the end of the day, if weather permits, you will have the opportunity to have the experience to “float” on the salty, mineral rich, water – bring your swimsuit with you. In the early evening, we return to Jerusalem for overnight.

Day 06

Jerusalem Old City

Our Jerusalem voyage starts today; we begin at Mt. Scopus for a spectacular panoramic view of the city. Jerusalem is the holy city for each of the world’s three great religions – Christianity, Judaism and Islam. The next stop will be at the Mount of Olives, the site where Jesus first gave the Lord’s Prayer, followed by a visit to the Garden of Gethsemane where Judas betrayed Jesus. In the Old City we will stop at the Western Wall, a holy place for Judaism. We continue to the actual site of the Second Temple, the Temple Mount. Walk the Way of the Cross, the Via Dolorosa to Calvary and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, housing both the traditional site of Crucifixion and the Tomb of the Resurrection. We proceed just outside the Old City to Mount Zion; we stop at the traditional tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper. We return to the hotel at the end of the day.

Day 07

Jerusalem New City

After breakfast we will drive to the renewed Yad Vashem, the official memorial to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust established in 1953, located on the foot of Mt. Hertzel. We continue to Ein Karem; a picturesque village on the south western outskirts of Jerusalem, this small village has great significance in Christianity, according to the tradition, this is where John the Baptist was born. Our next stop will be to the Israel Museum, lately renovated with a detailed model of Jerusalem from the time of the Second Temple and the Shrine of the Book, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls. Drive by the Knesset (House of Parliament) and the campus of Hebrew University. If situation permitting, we might visit Bethlehem to see Rachel’s Tomb and the Church of the Nativity. Back to your hotel for overnight.
