Places of historical relevance to Christians: the Mount of Beatitudes, where the Sermon on the Mount took place; Capernaum, where Jesus started his public ministry, including visits to the Ancient Synagogue and House of St Peter; and Tabgha, the site of the Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes. Continue to Banias, a source of the Jordan River, where Herod’s son, Philip, established the capital of his kingdom in the Upper Galilee.

Return for dinner and overnight in Tiberias.

 From the Dead Sea we will continue our way to the Ella Valley through Tel Arad, Israel's best example of an Early Bronze Age city. We continue to Beit Guvrin to view the 4000 caves and hollows eroded by the result of water on a soft limestone surface and learn the story of the Jewish revolt against the Romans. In the afternoon, visit the Shrine of the Book at the Israel Museum to see the Dead Sea Scrolls and the scale Model of Jerusalem as it was in Jesus’ time.
