Visit the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. Continue to the Valley Temple and Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt. On to Sakkara, the step Pyramids and the Alabaster Sphinx.

Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Visit the Old City of Cairo, the Citadel of Saladin (Salah El Din), the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammad Ali and the Khan el Khalili Bazaar, the oldest and largest bazaar in the Middle East. Then on to the Cairo Museum, exhibiting a marvellous array of antiques. In the afternoon, a visit to the Church of St Sergius and the Crypt of the Holy Family beneath. Continue to the Hanging Church dedicated to the Virgin Mary and visit the Coptic Museum.

Back to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Drive to the Sinai Desert to see the site where the Ten Commandments were given to Moses and visit St Catherine Monastery at the foot of Mount Sinai.

Dinner and overnight at St Catherine's Oasis.

 Visit Tel Hazor and Banias, the beautiful nature reserve and the site of an important 1st century city. Continue towards Belvoir where there is a ruined 12th Century Crusader castle with great views over the Jezreel and the Jordan Valleys, Jordan's Gilead Mountains and the Sea of Galilee. Finally, drive to Beit Shean to see the Roman Theatre. Dinner and overnight stay in Kibbutz Almog

Drive on the desert road to Amman. On the way, visit Madaba to see the beautiful mosaic floor of the Byzantine Church from the 4th Century showing the map of Jerusalem. Proceed to Mount Nebo where Moses stood and saw the Promised Land, unable to enter it. Arrive at Amman. Set amongst seven hills, it is one of the most

ancient cities in the world, with archaeological finds dating back to 3000 BC. Visit Roman ruins, including a 6,000-seat amphitheater, a forum and a street of columns.

Dinner and overnight in Amman

Drive to the Sheikh Hussein Bridge crossing to Israel. Continue to Mount Tabor, the traditional site of the Transfiguration, which includes two Churches, Franciscan and Greek Orthodox, on the summit. Next visit Cana, the site where Jesus performed the miracle of turning water into wine during a wedding celebration. Visit the Jordan River Baptismal site.

Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.

 Drive by the Sea of Galilee to visit Tabgha, the site of the Miracles of the Loaves and Fishes; and Capernaum, where Jesus started his public ministry, that includes the Ancient Synagogue and House of St Peter. Then on to the Mount of Beatitudes, site of the Sermon on the Mount. Visit Banias, a source of the Jordan River, where Philip, son of Herod, established the capital of his kingdom in the Upper Galilee.

Return for dinner and overnight.

 Visit the Basilica of Annunciation and the Well of the Virgin Mary in Nazareth. Continue to Haifa to enjoy the spectacular view from Mount Carmel. Proceed to Caesarea, the city of Herod, to visit the ruins of the Roman Theatre and the Crusader City. Drive through Tel Aviv for a sightseeing tour and then on to Jaffa to visit the Harbor and St Peter’s Church.

Proceed to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Enter the Old City of Jerusalem via Dung Gate to visit the Western Wall and the Temple Mount. Proceed to Mount Zion to visit the Cenacle (the room of the Last Supper), King David's Tomb and the Dormition Abbey. Drive to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity and the Shepherd's Fields. Drive to Ein Karem to visit the Church of the Visitation and John the Baptist's birthplace.

Return for dinner and overnight.

Drive to the Mount of Olives to enjoy a spectacular view of the holy city. Visit the Pater Noster Church and the Church of Ascension, before descending to the Josaphat Valley to see the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. After lunch, enter the Old City to walk the Stations of the Cross (Via Dolorosa) to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.

Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

 Leave Jerusalem (800 meters above sea level) to head to the Dead Sea (420 meters below sea level). Visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered. Then ascend by cable car to Masada Fortress and learn the heroic story of the last stand by Jewish rebels against the Romans. Return to the Dead Sea to float in the salt-rich waters and then back to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight
