TEL ARAD / BEERSHEVA / ASHDOD / ASHKELON / BEIT GUVRIN / OVER NIGHT IN JERUSALEM
Visit Tel Arad, Israel's best example of an Early Bronze Age city. Proceed to Beersheva, the capital of the Negev, to see Abraham's Well and the remains of the ancient town’s walls and houses. Continue to Ashdod, one of five great Philistine cities, to visit a Fatimid fortress and then view the surroundings from the top of Yaffa Ben-Ami Memorial Hill. Visit Ashkelon, another great Philistine city, believed to be the birthplace of Herod the Great. Finally, on to Beit Guvrin to view some of the 4,000 limestone caves and hollows eroded by water and learn the heroic story of the Jewish revolt against the Romans.
